CEX.IO Savings is a service that allows you to earn rewards by lending cryptocurrencies. CEX.IO features two crypto savings accounts: flexible and locked. A flexible savings account means that you can withdraw deposited funds and earned rewards anytime. This option is the fastest way to earn cryptocurrency among supported ones since you earn rewards every day.
When you use a locked savings account, you lock your funds for 30-90 days. The longer the period, the more rewards you will be able to earn. Withdrawal of deposited funds and earned rewards is available only after the selected unlock date. Locked savings offers higher rewards than flexible savings. CEX.IO Savings and CEX.IO Staking have a different set of supported cryptocurrencies and different approaches to adding new assets.
CEX.IO Staking is supported for cryptocurrencies that use proof of stake (PoS) or similar consensus mechanisms (i.e. delegated proof of stake). Staking is an integral part of these blockchain networks. So the criterion of whether or not a token is suitable for staking depends on the blockchain network, not the platform.
